I.R.I.S. is one of the few organizations in world that is dedicated to using Information Technology to improve Natural Resources conservation, management, and protection. Quite honestly, most have gone out of business or stuck to for-profit business (like sawmills), because raw Natural Resources are not worth a lot dollar-wise and Conservation tends to be a non-profit or long-term investment activity.
